3/8 A.B. PTC X 1/4 FNPT BRASS CON.

Description & Features

Designed for air brake system connections, this brass push-to-connect swivel straight adapter from Aeroquip's Weatherhead line provides a reliable, leak-resistant fitting where a 3/8 in. push-to-connect end meets a 1/4 in. female NPTF thread. The swivel design allows for rotational adjustment during installation, reducing stress on connected lines.

Constructed from brass and finished with Dura-Kote plating, the 3/8 A.B. PTC X 1/4 FNPT Brass Con. offers corrosion resistance suited to demanding air brake environments. It is rated for use in air brake applications where temperatures do not exceed +200°F and where exposure to battery acid, fuel, water, or oil is not a factor. Operating pressures exceed SAE standards, and the Weatherhead range includes hundreds of compatible styles to support flexible system configurations.

Question by: Rusty B on Jan 1, 2026, 8:16 PM
Is this fitting okay for connecting air lines on my truck's brake system?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 3, 2026, 7:47 AM
This adapter is indeed designed for air brake systems. Just keep in mind it's not meant for places where the temperature goes over 200°F or where it could get splashed with battery acid, fuel, water, or oil.
