Product Questions & Answers (1)

Question by: Hank P on Sep 24, 2025, 7:36 AM
this thing rated for air brake lines, or is it more of a general-purpose fitting?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 25, 2025, 7:33 PM
Air brake systems are exactly what this fitting is built for. It's brass construction with Dura-Kote plating, which gives it solid corrosion resistance for that kind of service. One hard limit to keep in mind though: it's not rated for use where temps climb above 200 degrees F, and it's not suitable anywhere battery acid might drip onto the tubing. Fuel, water, and oil lines are out too. Stick to air brake applications within those boundaries and it'll do the job.
