Question by: Kirk C on Aug 28, 2025, 7:29 AM
Running a brush cutter setup on my skid steer and been burning through motors. This a cast iron build or one of them lightweight alloy jobs that just don't hold up?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 29, 2025, 7:15 PM
Cast iron all the way through. That's one of the reasons this motor holds up in brush cutter and skid steer attachment work where vibration and load cycles beat equipment hard. Cast iron handles the stress better over time than lighter alloy housings, and Char-Lynn built this one specifically for that kind of demanding use.
