FTNG (PERM), R2

Description & Features

Constructed from carbon steel with Dura-Kote plating, this fitting delivers reliable corrosion resistance in demanding hydraulic environments. The FTNG (PERM), R2 is a permanent-style hose fitting with a female metric end and a -12 hose dash size, designed for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic applications. Where shock hazards are present, use H277 or H435 series fittings instead. The system-engineered design supports extended hose assembly life and consistent performance under standard hydraulic service conditions. Manufactured by Danfoss Power Solutions under the Aeroquip brand, this fitting carries an EAR99 export classification.

Product Questions & Answers (1)

Question by: Freddie G on Jan 3, 2026, 9:29 AM
fitting says it's for R2 hose, does that mean it won't work on anything lighter duty?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 5, 2026, 6:15 AM
R2 is the hose type this fitting is matched to, and yes, pairing it with a lighter spec hose would be outside its intended use. The whole system is engineered together so the crimp interface performs correctly and hose assembly life holds up like it should. If your application runs general purpose low or medium pressure hydraulics, you're in the right ballpark. The product notes do call out using H277 or H435 series fittings instead if your setup has shock hazards, so that's worth keeping in mind before you commit.
