Product Questions & Answers (2)
Question by: Phil D on Apr 16, 2025, 7:04 PM
what's the plating on this fitting, and does it hold up decent in wet or dirty environments?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 18, 2025, 6:18 AM
Dura-Kote plating is what you get on this one, and it's specifically there to fight corrosion. For hose assemblies running in conditions where moisture or grime is a regular thing, that coating gives the carbon steel body a meaningful layer of protection and helps stretch out the service life of the assembly overall.
Question by: Bonnie R on Sep 15, 2025, 5:32 PM
Will this fitting hold up in a hydraulic system that sees pretty consistent use?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 17, 2025, 6:23 AM
Dura-Kote plating provides superior corrosion resistance, significantly extending the life of hose assemblies even under demanding conditions. So, yeah, it should hold up just fine.
