Designed for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic circuits, the Aeroquip M/M+ R2 - FemalePipe is a carbon steel crimp hose fitting from Eaton Aeroquip's 1A Series, configured with a 1/4 in. NPTF female pipe end and a -6 hose dash size on the line/hose/tube end. Where shock hazards are a concern, H277 or H435 series fittings are the recommended alternative.

Dura-Kote plating provides strong corrosion resistance suited to demanding industrial environments. The fitting's system-engineered design is intended to extend hose assembly service life and support consistent performance over time. Manufactured at the Van Wert, OH facility under cage code 0X660, this fitting is sold as a complete assembly ready for installation.

Will this fitting work alright for general hydraulic uses, like on a tractor?

It's designed for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic applications. If your tractor falls within that range, it should be suitable.

General purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic systems are exactly what this fitting is built for. It connects a female NPTF pipe end to a -6 hose, so it fits right into most standard hose assembly setups. One thing worth knowing is that if your application has shock hazards, you'd want to look at the H277 or H435 series instead. For routine hydraulic runs without shock concerns, this one handles the job.

trying to match up an old hose end, what size pipe thread is on this 1AA4FP6 fitting?

On the pipe side it is a female NPTF end in 1/4 inch size. The other end is the hose connection side for a -6 dash hose.
