Question by: Floyd F on Mar 24, 2026, 6:35 PM
trying to swap out a hose end, is 1AA4FRA6 the -4 dash fitting with a 45 elbow and ORS female swivel?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 26, 2026, 3:15 PM
Function-wise, it’s a 1A Series permanent crimp hose fitting that’s a 45 degree elbow with a Female ORS swivel end, and it’s called out as dash size -4.
Question by: Jerry O on Jun 30, 2025, 9:40 PM
fitting says ORS female swivel, does that mean the swivel part actually rotates during installation or just after?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 2, 2025, 11:27 AM
The swivel on this fitting is there to make installation easier. It lets you rotate the fitting to align with your port without twisting the hose itself. Once everything is torqued down, the swivel is not meant to keep spinning during operation. It just takes the headache out of getting the angle right when you're making up the connection.
Question by: Brett P on May 10, 2025, 11:45 AM
Will this fitting work for general hydraulic applications, or is it for something specific?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 11, 2025, 8:04 PM
It's suitable for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulics. If you have potential shock hazards, you'll want to use H277 or H435 hoses with it.
