Manufactured from carbon steel with Dura-Kote plating, this fitting delivers reliable corrosion resistance in general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic applications. The Aeroquip M/M+ Inv Flr Swiv is a male inverted flare swivel fitting with a 0.5-inch end size and a -4 hose dash size, designed to connect line, hose, or tube assemblies with a swivel end for easier installation and alignment. Its system-engineered construction is intended to extend hose assembly service life and support maximum uptime in demanding hydraulic circuits. Where shock hazards are a concern, H277 or H435 series fittings are recommended instead. This fitting is manufactured by Danfoss Power Solutions (II LLC Aeroquip) and is classified EAR99 under U.S. export regulations.

got a -4 hose on the bench, is this fitting the right match for that dash size?

For sizing, it lines up with a -4 hose dash size and it has a 0.5 end size on the male end, so it’s aimed at that smaller hose and fitting range.

It's designed for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic systems. You'll want to use H277 or H435 hose where there's a chance of shock hazards.
