Question by: Donna H on Oct 20, 2025, 12:53 PM
Can I use this fitting with just any old hose?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 21, 2025, 7:27 PM
This fitting is specifically designed for hoses with a 0.375 inch ID and is compatible with H277 or H435 hoses, especially where shock hazards are a concern.
Question by: Curt J on Feb 25, 2026, 8:02 AM
Got a -6 hose with a 3/8 ID, is this the right permanent fitting for it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 26, 2026, 8:52 AM
For a -6 hose size, this fitting matches a 0.375 inch compatible hose ID and it’s a permanent fitting assembly, so it’s intended to be crimped on as part of the hose assembly.
Question by: Kirk J on Nov 23, 2025, 9:16 PM
fitting says it works with H277 or H435 hose when shock hazards are a concern, does that mean it won't hold up on a regular low-pressure line without those hoses?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 25, 2025, 9:49 AM
For standard low and medium pressure hydraulic applications without shock hazards, you're not required to use H277 or H435. Those two hose types are called out specifically for situations where shock loads or electrical shock risks are present. On a general-purpose line running normal pressure ranges, this fitting handles the job just fine paired with a compatible 0.375 inch ID hose.
