Question by: Lynn D on Jan 14, 2026, 5:17 PM
i keep seeing “-12 FJIC swivel” on fittings, what does that actually mean on this one?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 16, 2026, 11:34 AM
“-12 FJIC swivel” is the connection style called out in the name, and the swivel part means the fitting end is made to rotate as you tighten it instead of having to spin the whole hose or assembly.
Question by: Gary C on Aug 27, 2025, 2:30 PM
what's the difference between this swivel fitting and a standard FJIC, is the 316SS gonna hold up better in wet or corrosive setups?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 29, 2025, 6:46 AM
316 stainless steel is notably more resistant to corrosion than standard carbon steel fittings, which makes it a better pick when moisture, chemicals, or washdown conditions are part of the picture. The FJIC (Female JIC) swivel configuration also lets the fitting rotate during assembly, so you can get a proper seat without twisting the hose or line. For applications where rust or oxidation is a real concern, the 316SS material is worth the upgrade over standard steel.
