With a 5:1 pilot ratio and a factory set pressure of 2030.00 PSI, this valve operates within a range of 1000-3000 PSI, making it suitable for varied load conditions and machine structures.

This 3-port, externally piloted, pressure-balanced screw-in cartridge valve is engineered to handle maximum load-induced pressures up to 210 PSI and relief pressures up to 270 PSI, allowing for adjustable control and safe operation. The valve's steel construction and screw adjustment style accommodate demanding conditions and provide long-term durability.

For installation, the 1CEV30 requires a C-10-3S cavity housing (sold separately) and should be torqued to 33 ft-lbs. Ensuring minimal internal leakage with a maximum of 0.25 cc/min, the valve operates efficiently within an oil temperature range of -22deg;F to +194deg;F. Viton and Buna-N seals further enhance its resilience.

trying to keep a cylinder from runnin away if a hose pops. is this the kind of valve that’ll help with that?

Overcenter or counterbalance valves are used to control and hold a load by regulating flow into and out of a hydraulic actuator. When the valve is installed close to or within the actuator, it can help stop runaway in a hose burst situation and it also allows thermal expansion relief when you are using open center directional control valves.

Does this valve need any kind of special housing, or can it just thread into a standard port?

It requires a C-10-3S cavity housing, which is sold separately and not included with the cartridge. The housing has to be machined or sourced to match that spec before you can install the valve. Once you've got the right cavity, torque the cartridge in to 33 ft-lbs and you're set. Mounting position doesn't matter, so you've got flexibility there.
