The 1CEV90 Series Counterbalance Cartridge Valve offers precise control making it ideal for unidirectional and bidirectional load applications such as harvesters and refuse haulers. This valve integrates a pilot assisted relief with check to regulate flow ensuring static and dynamic load control.

With a pressure rating of up to 4000 PSI the valve is designed for critical applications requiring reliable performance. The screw adjustment allows for fine-tuning within a range of 1015 to 3265 PSI with a factory setting of 1450 PSI.

got a load that wants to creep down on a cylinder, is this the kind of valve that’ll hold it and still let it move smooth when you command it?

For holding and controlling an overrunning load, the 1CEV90 overcenter style counterbalance does that job by combining a check section with a pilot assisted relief section. The check lets free flow into the actuator, then it holds and locks the load against movement, and the pilot function allows controlled lowering or motion when pilot pressure is applied so the load does not run away.

Will this fit a standard C-12-3S cavity?

This cartridge valve itself is a 1CEV90 model, and it's meant to be used with a C-12-3S cavity housing. That housing is sold separately.
