1CLLR100 Series Cushion (Double Relief) Cartridge Valve, 1650-5075 PSI (Factory Setting At 4060.00), Screw Adjustment, Pilot Ratio

Description & Features

The 1CLLR100 Series Cushion (Double Relief) Cartridge Valve is designed for reliable protection against over pressurization in hydraulic circuits ideal for motors and directional valves. It offers a pressure range of 1650-5075 PSI with a factory setting at 4060 PSI. This valve features a screw adjustment style and requires a machined A878 cavity or housing for proper installation. It provides full pressure adjustment through its range in both directions reducing space requirements. Ensuring a maximum flow rate of 40 gpm and a pressure capacity of up to 5000 psi the valve includes Nitrile seals and operates efficiently within a temperature range of -22 to +194F. The maximum internal leakage is 0.31 cubic inches per minute based on an oil temperature of 104F and 150 SSU. The installation torque for this cartridge is 44 ft-lbs and it can be mounted in any position. Recommended filtration is ISO level 18/13 or better to maintain optimal performance.

Question by: Kurt A on May 6, 2025, 1:06 PM
what happens if my system pushes past 3000 psi with this valve, does it need anything special to handle that?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 7, 2025, 7:20 PM
Steel housing is required any time you're running pressures above 3000 psi with this cartridge. That's a hard requirement, not just a recommendation. The valve itself is rated up to 5000 psi maximum, but the housing material has to match those demands or you're asking for trouble. If your circuit runs below 3000 psi, standard machined housing works fine, but cross that line and steel is the only acceptable option.

Reckon this'll fit where one with an A878 cavity used to be?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 20, 2025, 7:24 PM
This cushion valve requires a machined A878 cavity or housing for installation, so if that's what you had before, it should be a direct replacement. Just make sure to torque it to 44 ft-lbs.
Question by: Janice M on Jun 27, 2025, 9:13 PM
got a motor circuit that’ll see pressure spikes both ways, is this the kind of valve that dumps to the opposite line to keep things from getting hammered?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 29, 2025, 7:03 AM
In a motor or directional valve circuit, this double relief cushion cartridge protects both lines by relieving oil to the other line when one side over-pressurizes. It is a fast-acting poppet style and it relieves in both directions using a single cartridge, which also helps save space.
