Product Questions & Answers (1)
Question by: Lance W on Jul 21, 2025, 5:41 PM
what's the coating on this fitting made of, and does it hold up decent in wet or dirty conditions?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 23, 2025, 8:24 AM
Carbon steel is the base material, and it gets Dura-Kote plating put on it specifically to fight off corrosion. That plating is what sets it apart from a plain steel fitting that'll start showing rust pretty quick once it sees moisture or grime. For environments where things get damp or dusty on a regular basis, that extra layer of protection makes a real difference in how long the fitting holds up.
