The fitting is manufactured from carbon steel and features Dura-Kote plating. This plating provides superior corrosion resistance, helping to extend the life of the fitting.
Question by: Patty M on May 26, 2025, 9:08 AM
what's the corrosion protection like on this fitting? working in conditions where rust is a real problem and need something that'll hold up
Answer by: Customer Support on May 27, 2025, 12:47 PM
Carbon steel with Dura-Kote plating is what you're getting here. That plating is specifically there to fight corrosion, so it holds up better than bare steel in rough or wet environments. It's one of the features Aeroquip built into this line to keep hose assemblies running longer between replacements.
