Product Questions & Answers (2)

Question by: Billy C on May 11, 2025, 2:50 PM
What kind of corrosion protection does this fitting have? Running equipment outdoors and rust has been a real problem with some of the cheaper stuff we've tried before.
Answer by: Customer Support on May 12, 2025, 7:19 PM
Dura-Kote plating is applied to the exterior, which gives it a solid layer of corrosion resistance that holds up better than standard zinc or uncoated carbon steel fittings. For outdoor or high-moisture environments where rust has been chewing through lesser hardware, that coating makes a meaningful difference in how long the assembly stays serviceable.
Question by: Billy F on Sep 28, 2025, 5:59 PM
Is this thing made out of carbon steel?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 30, 2025, 3:19 PM
That's right, this field crimp is made from carbon steel to hold up in tougher environments.
