does this fitting work with -32 hose or is that just the dash size for ordering purposes

The -32 is the actual hose dash size this fitting is built for, so yes, you'd be pairing it with -32 hose. It uses a Female JIC/SAE 37 swivel end connection and is part of the Field Crimp system, meaning it gets crimped onto the hose rather than threaded or pushed on.
