what's the thread type on the pipe end of this fitting, and is it a full 1/2 inch size?

The pipe end uses NPTF threading, which is a dry-seal thread designed to hold pressure without relying solely on a sealant. Both ends on this fitting are 1/2 inch, so the pipe side and the hose side are matched at that same size. The hose end is set up for a dash 8 hose, which lines up with 1/2 inch hose ID. Carbon steel construction throughout.

got a -8 hose, is this the right field crimp end for it, or am i mixin stuff up
