Question by: Darryl S on Dec 26, 2025, 4:58 PM
got a -6 hose im trying to hook up to a jic male, is this the right reusable end for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 28, 2025, 2:04 PM
For a -6 hose, this fitting matches up with a -6 hose dash size and uses a male SAE 37 degree (JIC-style) end with a 0.5625 end size, so it fits that general setup.
Question by: Gene P on May 28, 2025, 6:38 AM
fitting says reusable -- does that mean I can pull it off a hose and put it back on a new one, or is that just a one-time reassembly situation?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 29, 2025, 11:14 AM
Reusable in this context means the fitting can be disassembled from the hose and reinstalled, which is part of what makes the 1R Series useful in field repair and maintenance situations. You're not stuck cutting it off and throwing it away every time. That said, the fitting should be inspected before reuse to make sure nothing got damaged during removal. The carbon steel construction holds up well through reassembly, and the design is intentionally straightforward with no adjustments or calibration needed during installation.
Question by: Roy G on Jan 17, 2026, 12:25 PM
So, this fitting here... it'll work alright with regular hydraulic hose? I'm not trying to run anything too fancy.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 18, 2026, 5:21 PM
Intended for use with line hose and tube configurations, this fitting is well-suited for a variety of hydraulic applications. You shouldn't have any issues using it with standard hydraulic hose, provided the size is correct.
