SAE Code 62 Flange

Description & Features

Manufactured from carbon steel with Dura-Kote plating for corrosion resistance, this Eaton Aeroquip 1W Series crimp hose fitting is a flanged SAE Code 62 Flange configured as a 45° elbow nipple assembly. The flanged end conforms to SAE Code 62 standards, while the opposite end connects to a -12 dash size hose line, making it well-suited for high-pressure hydraulic circuits where secure, leak-resistant connections are required.

Engineered as part of Aeroquip's system-matched 1W Series, this fitting is designed to extend hose assembly service life and support maximum uptime in demanding hydraulic applications. The flanged end carries an outer diameter of 1.62 inches with a drop dimension of 1.06 inches. Built at Eaton's Van Wert, Ohio facility, the fitting is compatible with a range of hydraulic fluids as outlined in Eaton's published fluid compatibility documentation.

Question by: Gene H on Oct 30, 2025, 1:56 PM
what's the corrosion resistance like on this fitting? running it somewhere it's gonna see moisture pretty regular
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 1, 2025, 7:39 AM
Carbon steel construction with Dura-Kote plating gives it solid protection against corrosion in wet or harsh environments. That plating is specifically built for superior resistance, so regular moisture exposure is exactly what it's meant to handle without breaking down quickly.

got a -12 hose in the shop, is this the right crimp fitting for it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 8, 2025, 9:07 AM
For a -12 hose, this fitting matches that dash size and it is part of the Aeroquip 1W Series crimp hose fittings. It is a nipple assembly with an SAE Code 62 flange end and a 45 degree elbow, made for a flanged connection on one side and a line, hose, or tube connection on the other.
Question by: Kent R on Apr 22, 2025, 6:57 AM
Will this fitting hold up to some serious pressure in a hydraulic system?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 24, 2025, 6:59 AM
Dura-Kote plating on this fitting provides superior corrosion resistance and it's designed for performance and maximum uptime, so it should do the job well.
