Description & Features

Designed for demanding mobile and industrial hydraulic circuits, the Salami 2.5PB Series Aluminum Gear Pump delivers a displacement of 1.35 cu in/rev with a rated flow of 10.5 GPM at 3000 RPM. Continuous working pressure is rated at 3600 PSI, with peak capability up to 4300 PSI, supported by floating bushing axial compensation that maintains high volumetric efficiency across the working pressure range. DU bearings contribute to its high-pressure performance.

This unit features a 2-Bolt SAE B mounting flange, a 7/8 straight keyed SAE B shaft, and side porting configured as SAE -12 inlet and SAE -10 outlet. Rotation is clockwise as stocked, though it can be reversed by repositioning the drive and driven shafts and rotating the front flange. Standard Buna-N seals support a temperature range of -4°F to 185°F; optional Viton seals extend that range to 230°F. The pump is compatible with fluids in the 85–297 SUS normal viscosity range and is available as part of a multiple-pump assembly in various shaft, flange, and port configurations to suit SAE and European standards.

Will this gear pump work okay in a hydraulic system that needs around 10.5 GPM flow?

This 2.5PB series pump is rated to provide 10.5 GPM, so it should be suitable for that flow requirement.

pump says CW rotation on it, can that be swapped if my setup runs counterclockwise?

Rotation can be changed by reversing the position of the drive shaft and driven shaft and rotating the front flange. It does ship standard in clockwise rotation, so if your system runs the other way you'd need to make that adjustment before putting it into service. Worth taking care of that before mounting everything up.
