This 2-Section Geared Flow Divider from SPX Hydraulic Technologies divides flow from a common pump source into two separate flows of equal proportion. It can be used to synchronize the operation of two cylinders.
This gear flow divider features a high-strength permanent mold cast iron housing, precision needle bearings, and hardened shafts joined by internally hardened round keys and keyways to eliminate stress concentrations and wear. Inlet port size is 3/4 NPTF, and outlet port size is 1/2 NPTF. It is recommended to use a 25-micron filter with this product. For greatest efficiency and accuracy, flow dividers should be used at near maximum rated inlet flow.
Recommended inlet flow range is 3.00 to 21.00. It has a maximum operating pressure of 1500 PSI and a maximum differential pressure between sections of 1000 PSI. Minimum speed rating is 500 RPM and maximum is 3500 RPM.

Product Questions & Answers (1)
Question by: Gene D on Jul 22, 2025, 5:28 PM
Got two cylinders I'm trying to keep in sync and they keep drifting on me. Would a flow divider like this fix that, or am I barking up the wrong tree?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 24, 2025, 6:41 AM
Equal flow from a single pump source is exactly what this unit is built for. It splits incoming flow into two separate streams at equal proportion, which is what keeps paired cylinders moving together instead of one running ahead of the other. Worth noting that you'll get the best accuracy when you're running it close to the maximum rated inlet flow of 21 GPM rather than down at the low end of the 3 to 21 GPM range. Also make sure you have relief valves protecting each circuit and run a 25-micron filter on it. Those two things make a real difference in how well it holds sync over time.
