Description & Features

The Danfoss / Eaton Char-Lynn 2000 Series Disc Geroler Standard motor offers efficient performance with a displacement of 4.9 cu in/rev. Designed for applications such as swing motors, brush cutters, mowers, and harvesting equipment, this motor ensures reliability.

Equipped with a 2 bolt SAE A mounting flange and a 1 in. straight keyed shaft, the motor supports easy installation. The 7/8-14 St.Thd. O-Ring ports guarantee secure connections, while the motor's highly-efficient design provides significant energy savings.

Featuring the lowest pressure drop in the industry, the motor can operate at a maximum case pressure of 2000 PSI without a case drain. It is recommended to use premium quality, anti-wear type hydraulic fluid, and the fluid viscosity should be a minimum of 70 SUS at operating temperature. For optimal performance, break-in the motor for approximately one hour at 30% of rated pressure.

For reliable function, recommended filtration per ISO Cleanliness Code level 18/13 is advised. The motor also sustains a maximum operating temperature of 180deg; F.

does this motor need a case drain line, or can it handle back pressure on its own?

Up to 2000 PSI, the motor handles case pressure without a case drain. Once you're running continuous back pressure above that threshold, you'll need to run an external case drain line and make sure it's plumbed so the motor case stays full of fluid at all times. That's a hard limit worth keeping in mind before you spec it into a high back pressure circuit.
