2000 Series Geroler Motor, 14.90 cu in/rev, 2 Bolt SAE A Mounting Flange, 1-1/4 in. Straight Keyed Shaft, 7/8-14 St.Thd. O-Ring Ports,

Description & Features

The Danfoss / Eaton Char-Lynn 2000 Series Geroler Motor delivers remarkable efficiency with its highly-efficient geroler design ensuring energy savings. This motor is engineered for applications such as swing motors brush cutters & mowers and harvesting equipment. It offers a displacement of 14.90 cu in/rev and features a 2 Bolt SAE A mounting flange.

This motor includes a 1-1/4 in. straight keyed shaft and 7/8-14 St.Thd. O-Ring ports providing robust and reliable performance. It stands out with the lowest pressure drop in the industry ensuring optimal functionality under varied conditions. For maximum efficiency it is recommended to use premium quality anti-wear type hydraulic fluid and to follow ISO Cleanliness Code level 18/13 for filtration.

The Char-Lynn Hydraulic Motors can withstand a maximum case pressure of 2000 PSI without a case drain and continuous back pressure over 2000 PSI requires an external case drain line. It is designed to operate within a fluid viscosity range of 100-200 SUS and up to a maximum operating temperature of 180 F. To ensure longevity run the motor for approximately one hour at 30% of rated pressure before applying full load.

Question by: Dale H on Dec 31, 2025, 2:32 PM
what's the max temperature this motor can handle before you start running into trouble?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 2, 2026, 9:39 AM
Fluid temperature needs to stay at or below 180 degrees F during operation. Beyond that you risk degrading the fluid and wearing on internal components faster than normal. For fluid viscosity, the sweet spot is 100 to 200 SUS, with 70 SUS being the absolute floor at operating temperature. Keeping things in that range goes a long way toward getting full service life out of the motor.
Question by: Kirk F on Apr 30, 2025, 4:42 PM
got a swing motor setup on a brush cutter, would this 2000 series unit be the right kind of motor for that job
Answer by: Customer Support on May 2, 2025, 6:58 AM
For swing motor duties on brush cutters and mowers, this 2000 Series geroler motor fits the typical use case. It is a 14.90 cu in/rev motor with a 2 bolt SAE A mounting flange, a 1-1/4 in straight keyed shaft, and 7/8-14 straight thread SAE O-ring ports.
