2000 Series Geroler Motor, 4.90 cu in/rev, 2 Bolt SAE A Mounting Flange, SAE C Splined 14T Shaft, 7/8-14 St.Thd. O-Ring Ports,

Description & Features

Designed for applications such as swing motors brush cutters mowers and harvesting equipment the Danfoss / Eaton Char-Lynn 2000 Series Disc Geroler Standard motor offers unparalleled performance and reliability. Featuring a 4.90 cu in/rev displacement the unit comes with a 2 Bolt SAE A Mounting Flange and a SAE C Splined 14T Shaft.

This highly-efficient motor stands out with its standard wheel or bearingless configurations and ensures energy savings with its advanced Geroler design. The 7/8-14 St.Thd. O-Ring Ports maintain fluid integrity and operational efficiency. The motor can handle fluid viscosities within the recommended range of 100-200 SUS and operates best at a maximum temperature of 180 F.

With a torque rating of 235 newton metres and a maximum case pressure of 2000 PSI this motor performs optimally even under high-stress conditions. For continuous back pressure above 2000 PSI an external case drain line is recommended.

To enhance motor longevity it is advised to run the motor for approximately one hour at 30% of rated pressure before full load application. Ensure the use of premium quality anti-wear type hydraulic fluid for optimal performance.

motor's been running hot on my brush cutter rig. what's the max temp this thing can handle before I start worrying about it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 2, 2025, 6:51 AM
Upper limit on operating temperature is 180 degrees F. Past that, you're pushing into territory where seal integrity and fluid performance can degrade. Keeping your hydraulic fluid in the recommended viscosity range of 100 to 200 SUS during operation helps a lot with heat management too. If you're running close to that ceiling regularly, it's worth checking fluid condition and making sure nothing's restricting flow on the return side.
