Description & Features

The Danfoss / Eaton Char-Lynn 2000 Series Disc Geroler Standard Motor is designed for the toughest industrial applications including swing motors brush cutters mowers and harvesting equipment. With a displacement of 11.90 cubic inches per revolution this motor provides efficiency and energy savings through its highly-efficient Geroler design.

The motor features a 2 Bolt SAE A mounting flange and a SAE C splined 14T shaft. The ports are 7/8-14 St.Thd. O-Ring ensuring secure and reliable fluid connections. Built to withstand tough conditions it has a maximum case pressure of 2000 PSI and can operate at temperatures up to 180F.

It is recommended to use premium quality anti-wear type hydraulic fluid and maintain fluid cleanliness at level 18/13 per ISO standards. The motor should be run for approximately one hour at 30% of rated pressure before full load application to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Maximum efficiency is achieved with a minimum fluid viscosity of 70 SUS at operating temperature with a recommended range of 100-200 SUS. This motor offers robust construction and consistent performance.

what's the break-in procedure on this motor? got one going on a brush cutter and don't want to burn it up right out of the gate

Run it for roughly an hour at about 30% of rated pressure before you put it under full load. Make sure the motor case is filled with fluid before you apply any load at all, even during that break-in period. Skipping that step is one of the fastest ways to shorten the life of a motor like this, so it's worth taking the time upfront.

got a setup with 7/8-14 o-ring ports already, are the ports on this motor that same thread?

Porting is 7/8-14 straight thread SAE O-ring (UNF-2B), and this version uses staggered O-ring ports. That matches common 7/8-14 ORB fittings and keeps the seal on the O-ring, not on pipe threads.
