42° Inverted Flare/42° Flare

Description & Features

Constructed from brass and finished with Dura-Kote plating for reliable corrosion resistance, this Eaton Aeroquip straight adapter connects a 7/16 in. male inverted flare end to a 1/2 in. male SAE 37° flare end. The 42° Inverted Flare/42° Flare configuration suits hydraulic line assemblies where these two common flare standards must be joined inline without bends or offsets.

Part of the Aeroquip 200001 Series, this adapter is rated for operating pressures above standard SAE thresholds and is available across hundreds of size and style combinations, supporting broad compatibility across industrial hydraulic systems. The brass construction and Dura-Kote surface treatment make it well suited for environments where corrosion resistance is a practical requirement.

Will this here adapter work to connect up a 42 degree inverted flare to a SAE 37 degree flare?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 14, 2025, 6:46 AM
Yes, this Eaton Aeroquip adapter is made to connect a 42° inverted flare fitting to a SAE 37° flare fitting.
Question by: Stan B on Jun 22, 2025, 8:15 PM
what's this adapter made out of, brass or steel?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 24, 2025, 5:08 PM
Brass is the material on this one. It also comes with Dura-Kote plating, which gives it a solid edge against corrosion compared to bare brass fittings. For most hydraulic and fluid line applications, that combination holds up well over time.
Question by: Keith H on May 16, 2025, 8:29 AM
got a line with a 4 male inverted flare on one side and a 5 male JIC on the other, is this the right straight adapter?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 18, 2025, 8:04 AM
For that combo, this adapter matches the setup. It is an Eaton Aeroquip straight adapter with a male inverted flare on one end (size 0.4375) and a male SAE 37 degree flare, JIC style, on the other end (size 0.5).
