Question by: Wes B on Jan 27, 2026, 12:32 PM
Trying to swap a fitting on a little gauge line, is this one the straight adapter that goes from 1/8 male pipe to a 37 degree JIC male?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 28, 2026, 5:10 PM
Function-wise it is a straight adapter with a 1/8 NPTF male on one end and an SAE 37 degree (JIC) male on the other, so it is meant to bridge a pipe thread port over to a JIC connection.
Question by: Larry P on Oct 3, 2025, 8:40 AM
got a line with a 1/8 male pipe thread on it. is this the straight adapter that’ll jump me over to a 4 JIC male?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 5, 2025, 7:32 AM
Yes, it is a straight adapter with a male NPTF end and a male SAE 37 degree (JIC) end. The end sizes listed are 0.125 on the NPTF side and 0.4375 on the SAE 37 side, which matches the common 1/8 pipe to 4 JIC setup.
Question by: Travis W on Jul 25, 2025, 12:30 PM
what's this adapter made out of, and will it hold up in something like a chemical processing line?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 27, 2025, 6:41 AM
Brass construction with Dura-Kote plating gives it solid corrosion resistance, which makes it a reasonable fit for chemical processing environments. It carries a male NPTF on one end and a male SAE 37 on the other, so it bridges those two connection types in a straight configuration. Operating pressures exceed SAE standards, which means it has some headroom beyond baseline spec for more demanding setups.
