A straight adapter designed for demanding industrial and marine environments, the Danfoss / Eaton ADPT 1/4 MP 6 MJIC connects a 1/4" NPTF male thread to a 9/16" SAE 37° male flare in a compact inline configuration. Constructed from carbon steel with Dura-Kote plating, this fitting delivers corrosion resistance suited to challenging service conditions including off-shore drilling, chemical processing, and food and beverage processing applications.
Certified to SAE J514 and rated for operating pressures above standard SAE thresholds, this Eaton Aeroquip adapter is built to perform across a wide temperature range, with a minimum working temperature of -40°. Its compatibility with pulp and paper, marine, and military applications reflects the breadth of industries this fitting series is designed to serve.

Product Questions & Answers (3)
Question by: Howard R on Aug 24, 2025, 9:37 PM
got a hose end that’s 6 JIC, will this adapter hook that up to a 1/4 nptf port?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 26, 2025, 6:41 AM
Built to bridge those two connection styles, it has a 1/4 inch NPTF male pipe thread on one end and a 6 size SAE 37 degree male JIC flare on the other.
Question by: Scott B on Nov 5, 2025, 1:05 PM
what industries is this adapter actually rated for, and does it hold up in wet or corrosive environments?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 6, 2025, 7:59 PM
Carbon steel construction with Dura-Kote plating gives it solid corrosion resistance, which is why it shows up in marine, offshore drilling, and chemical processing applications. Food and beverage processing and pulp and paper are also listed uses, so it covers a pretty wide range of demanding environments. The plating is specifically there to handle exposure conditions that would eat through a standard fitting faster than you'd want.
Question by: Shawn M on May 5, 2025, 7:26 PM
Will this adapter hold up for use in a chemical processing plant? We have some pretty harsh stuff.
Answer by: Customer Support on May 7, 2025, 7:39 AM
With its Dura-Kote plating, this adapter offers superior corrosion resistance, which makes it suitable for chemical processing environments.
