Question by: Debbie S on Jun 30, 2025, 6:44 AM
Reckon this'll hold up on some heavy-duty mining equipment? We're not exactly gentle with our gear.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 1, 2025, 12:37 PM
These EW DKO fittings are built for just that. Their applications include the high-pressure hydraulic systems found on mobile and mining equipment, plus shipyard, primary metal, wind power, and various other industrial markets.
Question by: Keith H on Apr 1, 2026, 11:57 AM
got a hose that’s -4 dash, is this the right fitting for it or am i off a size
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 3, 2026, 11:33 AM
Fit comes down to the hose dash size and end style, and this one is built as a -4 dash nipple assembly with a metric female swivel DKO end (DIN 3865) on one side and a line, hose, or tube end on the other.
Question by: Merle G on Jan 19, 2026, 8:31 PM
What kind of environments is this fitting actually built for? We run equipment pretty hard and can't afford to be swapping out fittings every few months.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 21, 2026, 8:01 AM
Carbon steel construction with Dura-Kote plating puts this fitting in a solid position for demanding conditions. That plating is specifically there to fight corrosion and stretch out the service life of hose assemblies, so it's not just a standard off-the-shelf piece. It's used across mobile equipment, mining, shipyard, wind power, and primary metal applications, which tells you it's meant to hold up where things get rough.
