Designed for straight-line connections between National Pipe Straight Mechanical (NPSM) female and SAE O-ring Boss (ORB) male ports, this 3/4-inch carbon steel adapter handles the demands of marine, military, chemical processing, food and beverage, pulp and paper, and off-shore drilling environments. The Danfoss / Eaton ADPT FP SWIV M ORing is part of Eaton Aeroquip's 2066 Series, built to perform at operating pressures above standard SAE requirements.

Dura-Kote plating provides corrosion resistance suited to harsh and chemically aggressive service conditions. The swivel female end allows for easier installation and alignment during assembly. With a 1.25-inch hex size and a minimum working temperature of -40°F, this adapter is well suited to demanding industrial and offshore fluid conveyance applications. trying to swap a fitting out, what exactly are the ends on this 2066-12-8S adapter?

On one side you have a 0.75 NPSM female swivel, and the other side is a 0.75 SAE O-ring Boss male. It’s a straight adapter meant to connect a pipe-style NPSM female swivel end to an SAE ORB port.

corrosion's been eatin through fittings on our offshore setup something fierce -- does this one have any kind of protective coating or is it bare steel?

Carbon steel fittings in saltwater or chemical environments do take a beating, but this one comes with Dura-Kote plating specifically for that reason. It holds up better than standard uncoated fittings and is rated for use in marine, offshore drilling, and chemical processing applications, so it was built with exactly that kind of exposure in mind.
