Question by: Kent R on May 18, 2025, 1:40 PM
got a 1 inch nptf port on the pump, can this step me down to a 1/4 nptf line?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 19, 2025, 5:36 PM
Function-wise it is a reducer bushing adapter with NPTF male on one end and NPTF female on the other. The sizes are 1 inch male NPTF to 1/4 inch female NPTF, so it’s meant to step down from a larger NPTF port to a smaller NPTF connection.
Question by: Scott W on Oct 8, 2025, 12:35 PM
got a 1 inch male NPTF fitting coming out of a pump and need to step it down to a quarter inch female NPTF port on a small instrument line, this the right piece for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 9, 2025, 6:41 PM
That's what this adapter is built for. It's a 1 inch NPTF male on one end and a 1/4 inch NPTF female on the other, so it threads right into your pump outlet and accepts the smaller instrument line fitting on the opposite end. Carbon steel construction and it carries that Dura-Kote plating, so corrosion resistance is solid for most hydraulic and instrumentation setups.
Question by: Vince M on Jul 5, 2025, 9:04 AM
Will this fitting hold up if I'm running grease through it, or is it just for hydraulics?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 7, 2025, 8:53 AM
It's designed for grease, instrumentation, and most hydraulic systems, so it should work fine for your application.
