Designed to maintain hose shape and flow integrity under conditions where standard hose may collapse or kink, the Aeroquip Internal Support Coil is a fitting accessory used in hydraulic hose assemblies. Internal support coils provide structural reinforcement from within the hose bore, helping preserve the internal diameter through tight bends or areas subject to external compression forces.
Manufactured under the Eaton Aeroquip brand, this component is suited for use in hydraulic systems where maintaining consistent internal geometry is critical to performance. Compatibility with specific hose series and bore sizes should be confirmed against Aeroquip assembly guidelines prior to installation.

Question by: Neil R on Aug 8, 2025, 6:50 PM
What exactly does one of these internal support coils do inside a hose assembly? Never run across one before and trying to get my head around it.
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 10, 2025, 2:13 PM
When a hydraulic hose gets routed through a tight bend or gets squeezed from the outside, the bore can collapse or kink enough to choke off flow. The support coil sits inside the hose and holds that internal diameter open so the geometry stays consistent. Think of it like a spine for the hose. Keeps things flowing the way they should even when the routing or the environment is working against it.

got a hose that wants to kink up on a tight bend, is this coil what keeps it from pinching off?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 17, 2025, 6:52 AM
Inside the hose bore, the support coil acts like a backbone. It helps the hose hold its shape so the internal diameter stays more consistent through tight bends or spots that might get squeezed, which helps protect flow integrity.
