Can this handle the kinda demanding stuff we put our equipment through on the farm, or is it more for lighter duty stuff?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 5, 2025, 5:26 PM
Designed for demanding mobile hydraulic applications, this Danfoss/Eaton open circuit axial piston pump from the X20 220 Series delivers high pressure and flow capacity, making it suitable for the variable demands of agricultural equipment.
Question by: Terry A on Nov 29, 2025, 6:49 PM
pump says it's for open circuit systems, does that mean it won't work in a closed loop setup on a skid steer loader or similar machine?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 1, 2025, 6:02 AM
Open circuit and closed circuit are fundamentally different hydraulic architectures, and this pump is built specifically for open circuit operation. In a closed loop system the fluid cycles directly between the pump and motor without returning to tank first, which requires a different pump design altogether. Swapping this into a closed loop application would be the wrong fit. For construction equipment, ag machinery, trucks, and material handling rigs running open circuit setups though, it's right at home.
