all three ends on this tee are the same size and thread type, right? just want to make sure before I order

Correct on both counts. All three ports are 3/8 inch NPSM female, so you're working with the same thread type and size across the board. No mixing or adapting between ports needed.

Will this tee handle hydraulic fluid alright, or is it more for air and water?

got a 2255-6-6S tee already, is this the same deal with three 3/8 female pipe swivel ends?
