06MJ-05MJ STRAIGHT

Description & Features

Designed for reducing JIC connections in steel hydraulic assemblies, the 06MJ-05MJ Straight is a male-to-male straight adapter from Brennan Industries. It connects a 9/16-18 SAE 37-degree flare on one end to a 1/2-20 SAE 37-degree flare on the other, making it well suited for inline size transitions between JIC-threaded components. Both threads conform to SAE J514, ensuring compatibility across standard hydraulic circuits.

Constructed from straight steel, this fitting is rated to a maximum dynamic pressure of 6,000 PSI. The compact overall length of 1.400 mm keeps it practical for installations where space between connection points is limited.

got a 9/16-18 JIC male on one end and a 1/2-20 JIC male on the other, will this fitting connect those two directly without any adapters in between?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 11, 2026, 12:41 PM
That's what it does. One end is a 9/16-18 male JIC 37 degree flare and the other is a 1/2-20 male JIC 37 degree flare, so it bridges those two different thread sizes in a single straight steel fitting. Both ends conform to SAE J514, so as long as your mating ports are SAE J514 compliant female JIC seats, you're good to go with no extra hardware needed.

got a hose with a 9/16-18 male JIC end and the other side is 1/2-20 male JIC. is this the straight adapter for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 17, 2025, 6:28 AM
Match it up to the thread callouts and it lines up. One end is 9/16-18 male JIC 37 degree flare and the other end is 1/2-20 male JIC 37 degree flare, both to SAE J514, in a straight steel body.
