fitting's rated to 5,000 psi -- that high enough for most hydraulic press lines running standard shop pressure?

It uses a 7/8-14 thread on one end and a 9/16-18 thread on the other. Both are Male JIC SAE 37 Degree Flare.

Got a hose end that’s 7/8-14 JIC male, will this step it down to 9/16-18 JIC male?
