got a hose with a 37 degree JIC male on it and need to land it into a 1/4 NPTF port. is this the right adapter?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 6, 2025, 2:58 PM
On the JIC side, it uses a male JIC SAE 37 degree flare with 7/16-20 threads, and the other end is a male NPTF with 1/4-18 threads. It is a straight brass adapter meant to connect those two thread types in one fitting.
Question by: Bonnie M on Nov 21, 2025, 6:53 AM
Does this thing go male JIC on one end and male pipe thread on the other, or did I read that wrong?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 23, 2025, 6:52 AM
You read it right. One end is a male JIC 37-degree flare fitting sized at 7/16-20, and the other end is a male NPTF threaded at 1/4-18. So you're connecting a JIC flare port on one side to a female pipe thread port on the other. Both ends are male, which is worth keeping in mind when you're planning your connection points.

Will this here fitting work with regular NPT?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 26, 2026, 9:23 PM
No sir, the threads are different. This adapter has a Male NPTF on one side, which is a dry-seal version, and a Male JIC SAE 37 Degree Flare on the other.
