Question by: Randy A on Oct 8, 2025, 11:01 AM
What’s the max pressure this fitting can handle?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 9, 2025, 9:58 PM
This straight steel adapter is designed to withstand dynamic pressure up to 6,000 psi.
Question by: Danny M on Oct 31, 2025, 1:59 PM
adapter's rated to 6,000 psi -- that hold up on the JIC side and the pipe side both, or just one end?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 2, 2025, 8:31 AM
Both ends are built to the same 6,000 psi dynamic pressure rating. The 9/16-18 Male JIC SAE 37 Degree Flare end meets SAE J514, and the 1/8-27 Male NPTF end meets SAE J476. The pressure ceiling applies to the adapter as a whole unit, not just one side of it.

trying to swap a fitting on an old hose, is this one the straight adapter that goes 9/16-18 JIC on one side and 1/8-27 NPTF on the other?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 31, 2025, 10:27 AM
The ends are male JIC SAE 37 degree flare in 9/16-18 (SAE J514) on one side and male NPTF in 1/8-27 (SAE J476) on the other, in a straight steel body.
