trying to hook a 9/16-18 JIC hose end into a 1/4-18 NPTF port. is that what this adapter does?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 27, 2025, 7:06 AM
Function-wise it bridges those two thread types in a straight adapter: one side is a male JIC SAE 37 degree flare in 9/16-18 (SAE J514), and the other side is a male NPTF in 1/4-18 (SAE J476).

Will this fitting hold up if I'm running hydraulic fluid through it at high pressure all day long?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 23, 2025, 10:36 AM
With a maximum dynamic pressure rating of 6,000 PSI, this adapter is built to handle demanding hydraulic applications. It's made from straight steel for durability.

9/16-18 JIC on one end and 1/4-18 NPTF on the other, that the right way to read this fitting?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 13, 2026, 6:26 AM
That's right. The B1 end is a 9/16-18 Male JIC with a 37-degree flare, built to SAE J514 spec. The B2 end is a 1/4-18 Male NPTF, conforming to SAE J476. So you've got a straight adapter that steps between those two thread types with no bends or offsets in the body.
