Question by: Tony A on Nov 14, 2025, 9:23 AM
Is this fitting made of steel, and what's the pressure rating I can expect?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 16, 2025, 7:43 AM
Yes, this fitting is made from straight steel. It's rated for a maximum dynamic pressure of 4,000 psi.
Question by: Chad S on Nov 22, 2025, 10:26 AM
fitting's rated for 4,000 psi dynamic pressure, that enough for most hydraulic line work on ag and construction equipment?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 24, 2025, 6:13 AM
For the majority of mobile hydraulic setups on farm and construction machinery, 4,000 psi dynamic handles the load just fine. Most of those systems run well under that ceiling during normal operation. Just make sure the hose and any other fittings in the line are rated to match, since the weakest point sets the limit for the whole assembly.
Question by: Cindy P on Jan 1, 2026, 12:11 PM
trying to hook a #8 JIC hose up to a 3/4 pipe port, is this the right adapter?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 3, 2026, 6:11 AM
For that kind of hookup, this fitting matches a #8 male JIC 37 degree flare on one end with 3/4-16 threads (SAE J514), and a 3/4-14 female NPTF pipe thread on the other end (SAE J476).
