got a hose end that’s #12 JIC male, will this screw right into a 3/4-14 female pipe port?

Function-wise it is a straight adapter with a #12 male JIC SAE 37 degree flare on one side and a 3/4-14 female NPTF pipe thread on the other. The JIC side is 1-1/16-12 per SAE J514, and the pipe side is 3/4-14 NPTF per SAE J476.

Got a 3/4 female NPTF port on my hydraulic manifold and need to tie into a #12 JIC line. This the right fitting for that?

For that exact hookup, yeah, this one fits the bill. The male end is a 1-1/16-12 JIC SAE 37-degree flare meeting SAE J514, and the female end is a 3/4-14 NPTF thread built to SAE J476. So if your manifold port is a true 3/4 NPTF and your hose end is a #12 JIC, this connector bridges those two without any adapters in between.
