Question by: Freddie B on Apr 25, 2025, 2:05 PM
trying to hook a 3/8 npt female port up to a 5/8 sae 45 flare line, is this the right adapter?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 27, 2025, 6:04 AM
It bridges those exact thread types and sizes in a straight adapter, with a 5/8 in male SAE 45 degree flare on one end and a 3/8 in female NPT on the other.
Question by: Billy S on Jan 19, 2026, 2:34 PM
Does this fitting go from a male flare on one end to a female pipe thread on the other, or did I read that backwards?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 20, 2026, 9:32 PM
You read it right the first time. The 5/8 inch end has a male SAE 45 degree flare, and the 3/8 inch end is female NPT. So the flare side threads onto or into a mating female flare connection, and the NPT side accepts a male pipe thread fitting. Straight body, no angle to it.

Will this fitting work to connect a 5/8" SAE flare to a 3/8" NPT?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 7, 2026, 12:41 PM
Yes, this straight adapter is made to connect a 5/8 in Male SAE 45 deg Flare to a 3/8 in Female NPT.
