Brass Adapter, 1/4 in Male SAE 45 deg Flare to 1/2 in Male NPT, Straight

Description & Features

Manufactured from brass, this straight adapter connects a 1/4 in Male SAE 45° Flare fitting to a 1/2 in Male NPT thread, making it a reliable choice for bridging these two common thread standards in refrigeration, HVAC, and industrial fluid systems. The SAE 45-degree flare end provides a secure, leak-resistant metal-to-metal seal, while the NPT male end threads directly into standard female NPT ports.

The Brass Adapter, 1/4 in Male SAE 45 deg Flare to 1/2 in Male NPT, Straight is supplied by ACR Industries and is well suited for applications where a compact, corrosion-resistant connection between flare and pipe thread fittings is required. Brass construction offers good resistance to corrosion and compatibility with a wide range of refrigerants and hydraulic media.

got a line running 1/4 inch flare and need to tie into a 1/2 NPT fitting on a valve body, this the right piece for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 22, 2025, 6:41 AM
That's what this adapter is built for. One end is 1/4 inch male SAE 45 degree flare, the other is 1/2 inch male NPT, and it runs straight through with no offset. Brass construction means it plays well with most fluid systems where those two thread types need to meet. As long as your flare connection is SAE 45 degree spec and your port is female 1/2 NPT, you're looking at a direct fit.
