This forged steel 90-degree elbow features a male JIC SAE 37-degree flare on one end and a male NPTF thread on the other. The 05MJ-06MP 90 DEG ELBOW FORGED is suitable for use in hydraulic applications. It is manufactured to meet SAE J514 and SAE J476 standards.

This elbow fitting has a 6,000 PSI maximum dynamic pressure. The JIC side has a 1/2-20 thread with a 0.234 mm drill size, while the NPTF side has a 3/8-18 thread with a 0.406 mm drill size. It belongs to the 2501-FG series.

If I'm replacing a fitting, how do I know this one will actually fit?

This elbow fitting meets both SAE J514 and SAE J476 standards, which dictate the specifications for the JIC and NPTF threads respectively. The JIC side has a 1/2-20 thread, and the NPTF side has a 3/8-18 thread.
