Question by: Sherry S on Oct 23, 2025, 11:52 AM
got a hose end that’s 3/4-16 JIC, will this elbow screw right onto it and then give me a 3/8-18 pipe thread on the other side?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 24, 2025, 6:25 PM
It has a male JIC SAE 37 degree flare on the B1 side with 3/4-16 threads (SAE J514), and the other end is a male NPTF with 3/8-18 threads (SAE J476). That matches the thread types and sizes you called out.
Question by: Earl F on Aug 20, 2025, 7:29 PM
what threads does this elbow have on each end, one side goes to a JIC fitting but what about the other?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 22, 2025, 2:35 PM
One end is a male JIC SAE 37-degree flare thread, sized 3/4-16, built to SAE J514 spec. The other end is a male NPTF thread, 3/8-18, conforming to SAE J476. So you're connecting a JIC line on one side to an NPTF port on the other, all in a 90-degree turn. Pretty handy when you're routing lines in tight spots and need to step down thread types at the same time.
