got a tight spot on a hydraulic line, is this the 45 degree elbow with one JIC flare and one pipe thread?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 30, 2026, 8:10 AM
Built as a 45 degree forged elbow, it has a male JIC SAE 37 degree flare on one end and a male NPTF pipe thread on the other. The JIC side is 1-5/16-12 (SAE J514) and the NPTF side is 1-11-1/2 (SAE J476).

Does this fitting top out at 3,000 PSI, or is that just the dynamic rating? Trying to figure out if it'll hold up on a loader that sees some pretty hard pressure spikes.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 21, 2026, 12:04 PM
3,000 PSI is the maximum dynamic pressure rating for this fitting, meaning that's what it's rated to handle under active, fluctuating system conditions. Pressure spikes in loader applications fall under dynamic loading, so that 3,000 PSI figure is the one that applies to your situation. As long as your system stays within that ceiling, the fitting is built for it. Forged steel construction gives it solid durability under that kind of repeated stress.

What's the pressure rating on this elbow? Just wanna make sure it'll hold up in my hydraulic system.
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 2, 2026, 7:32 PM
It's rated for dynamic pressures up to 3,000 PSI, so it should be good for high-pressure hydraulic applications.
