For pump type, it falls under “Hyd Fixed Dis External Gear Pump,” so you are looking at a fixed displacement external gear pump.
Question by: Stan P on Oct 13, 2025, 5:21 PM
Will this gear pump hold up okay in an agricultural application, say running on farm equipment most of the day?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 15, 2025, 2:53 PM
These Cessna/Eaton gear pumps are definitely built for that kind of work. They’re commonly used in agricultural, civil engineering, and even metal forming, so it should handle a typical farm equipment duty cycle without any problems.
Question by: Kirk R on Aug 13, 2025, 11:27 AM
pump says it's field reversible, how hard is that to actually do on one of these L2 series units?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 15, 2025, 6:28 AM
Reversing the rotation on this pump is something you can handle without pulling it off the machine entirely. The Series L2 is built so the direction can be changed in the field, meaning the porting and internal configuration allow for it without specialized tooling or sending it back to a shop. It's one of the more practical features on this pump, especially if you're setting up a circuit that needs to run in both directions depending on the application.
