Designed for demanding fixed-displacement applications, the Cessna Gear Pump is a Danfoss Power Solutions Series L2 external gear pump built for reliable performance across a wide range of industrial and mobile environments. Suitable for agricultural equipment, civil engineering machinery, material handling systems, metal forming, and specialty construction, it covers a broad field of use.
The pump features field-reversible rotation direction, making it adaptable to varied system configurations without requiring additional components. Reduced noise and vibration contribute to quieter operation in noise-sensitive environments, while improved volumetric and mechanical efficiency support consistent fluid delivery. High inlet pressure capability extends its suitability to applications where inlet conditions may be challenging. The unit is rated for a minimum working temperature of -20°C.

We run equipment out in the field where startup temps can get pretty cold in the winter, is there a lower temp limit on this pump before it starts causin problems?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 8, 2025, 6:33 PM
Rated down to -20 degrees Celsius for minimum working temperature, so cold-weather startups are within its design range. That covers most winter operating conditions you'd run into in outdoor agricultural or construction work without any special cold-start modifications needed.
