DANFOSS / EATON MOTOR

Description & Features

Designed for demanding fluid power applications, the Danfoss / Eaton Motor is a fixed displacement external gear pump built to perform across a wide range of industrial and mobile equipment sectors, including agricultural machinery, civil engineering equipment, material handling systems, and metal forming applications.

Manufactured under the Eaton Char-Lynn brand, now part of Danfoss Power Solutions, this unit delivers reduced noise and vibration alongside improved volumetric and mechanical efficiency. The field-reversible pump direction adds installation flexibility, making it well-suited for equipment configurations where rotation direction may vary.

Rated for a minimum working temperature of -20°C, the pump is engineered to maintain reliable performance in cold-weather environments common to natural resources and specialty construction applications.

got a setup where i need the pump to spin the other way sometimes. is this one reversible?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 13, 2026, 10:04 AM
Field reversible pump direction is one of the listed features, so you can reverse the pump’s rotation direction in the field.
Question by: Ralph T on Aug 15, 2025, 9:18 AM
runs in both directions, or do I gotta set it up for one rotation when I install it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 16, 2025, 5:03 PM
Field reversible pump direction is built into this unit, so you can set the rotation at install without needing a separate part or special configuration. That's handy when you're dropping it into a setup where the drive rotation doesn't match what the previous pump expected.
